A Testimony to Gods Grace, the GCCYP Timeline

In 2013:
  • Assembled a Board of Directors
  • Incorporated with the State of Washington in May 2013
  • Filed paperwork for a Non-Profit status with the IRS
  • Youth Mission Trip to Portland
  • We have had our weekly bible study and youth group at Ian and Candice’s house along with monthly activities.
  • Skate Night Ministry
In 2014:
  • We started renting a building on Main Street! 836 Main Street
    • A huge blessing to be right on Main Street with a big building to meet with the youth in. Bible Study is Thursday and Youth Group on Sunday with many activities throughout the year.
  • So thankful for our committed supporters! Our Monthly Support is about $1,000!
  • Started community service projects helping the elderly and others.
  • Received our 501c3 Non Profit Status from the IRS
  • Skate Night Ministry 
In 2015:
  • Breaking Free Youth Rally in February. We had 3 great bands, and 3 speakers. They all spoke on drug/alcohol prevention and the harsh consequences they have faced in their lives because of drug abuse. A great turnout of  70 youth and many adults.  That is over a third of the student body for 6th to 12th grade. Praise God!
2015 Goals
  • Ian is going down to part time at the hospital starting in April 2015. In doing this he will be able to accomplish the following:
  • Have the building open for after school hours 3 days a week.
    • This will provide a safe place for youth to come and play games. We are also setting up a space with access to a computer to work on homework.
  • Be able to mentor youth and guide them through the struggles of being a youth.
  • More Community Service Projects.  The youth program will be helping to weed the cemetery this year and will continue to help the elderly and other projects.
  • Bible Study is Thursday and Youth Group on Sunday with many activities throughout the year.
  • Summer Mission Trip to Mexico! We’ll be ministering with Go Missions To Mexico. 
  • Skate Night Ministry – Free to the community to come and skate for free at Spinners.
  • Received a grant from the Shepherd’s Foundation and are planning on painting the outside of the building.
  • Continue our Thursday and Sunday night meetings along with monthly activities.
  • Taking steps to purchase the building.
In 2016
  • Purchased the building (836 Main Street) Praise God!
  • Bible Study is Thursday and Youth Group on Sunday with many activities throughout the year.
  • Skate Night Ministry – Free to the community to come and skate for free at Spinners.
  • Local Mission Trip in July
  • Provide a safe and welcoming environment for the youth of Pomeroy
  • Teen Leadership Conference in Antelope, Oregon
In 2017
  • Continue Bible Study and Youth Group
  • Mission Trip in July 2017 to the Oregon Coast for Missions Conference
  • Started planning Children’s Program
  • Continue to improve and update the building
  • Monthly activities in addition to regular meetings
  • Continued to meet youth where they are and help them grow in their faith!
In 2018
  • Spring 2018 Community Trunk opened
  • June 2018 Successful Mission Trip to Mexico
  • October 2018 Started 3:16 Crew Children’s Program
  • Continue to meet youth where they are and help them grow in their faith!
2019 Goals
  • Completed Basement remodel in Spring of 2019
  • Mission Trip to Eastern Washington June 2019
  • Continue 3:16 Crew planning to be ready for 2nd year to start in Oct.
  • Winter retreat for youth group with Camp Alacca
  • Continue Youth Group as well as monthly activities
  • Continue to meet youth where they are and help them grow in their faith!
